Right at Home Greater Logan is a trusted provider of quality in-home care. With a mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve, we are committed to delivering the Right Care, Right at Home. Our team supports people with complex and post-operative needs, dementia and cognitive decline, seniors, and adults living with a disability. These services enable people to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.
Australians are fortunate to have access to subsidised aged care services, which provide vital support for older individuals as they age. Funded through the Australian Government’s aged care system, these services include in-home care, residential aged care, and specialist supports such as dementia care. For many families, these services offer not only practical assistance but peace of mind—knowing their loved ones are receiving professional and compassionate care.
There are currently two main government-funded programs available to older Australians aged 65 and over (or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people):
- Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
- Home Care Packages (HCP)
The CHSP is typically the entry-level funding stream, offering access to basic services such as domestic support, transport, or personal care at a subsidised cost. The Home Care Package program provides a higher level of support for those with more complex or ongoing needs, with funding tailored to the individual’s care requirements.
In a significant step forward, the Australian Government will introduce the new Support at Home Program from 1 November 2025 (postponed from the original 1 July 2025 date). This reform will streamline the aged care system by eventually combining CHSP and HCP funding into a single program. However, the CHSP will remain a separate funding stream until 2027.
Right at Home Australia is an Approved Provider under the Aged Care Act, which means we are authorised to deliver services under government-funded care packages. We currently support clients receiving Home Care Package funding and will be registered to deliver services under the new Support at Home Program from November 2025.
Unfortunately, due to the limited availability of CHSP grant funding, we are not currently able to deliver services under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme. Nevertheless, our team remains committed to supporting older Australians with high-quality, tailored in-home care services that promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
