How good is home court advantage?

By Member for Springwood Mick de Brenni

We all know that supporting local sport starts with investing in the facilities our communities rely on.

That’s why I’m proud the Labor funded recent facilities upgrades at Logan Basketball.

This project has delivered more than just a fresh look.

It’s created real change, especially for our women and girls.

For the first time, they now have their own permanent home court changerooms.

That’s about dignity, respect and ensuring everyone has equal access to the spaces they deserve.

The upgrade includes two new universal team changerooms and a full renovation of the upstairs stadium bathrooms, making the centre more accessible, modern and welcoming for all.

Importantly, this investment supports the thousands of young athletes, families and visitors who walk through the doors each year.

Local sport plays a valuable role in keeping our community active, connected and strong and it deserves facilities that reflect that.

It’s great to see the Thunder Family benefiting from these improvements and I look forward to seeing the next generation thrive on their home court.
