Ironbark Fitness is holding a women’s health expo all about self-care, just in time for Mother’s Day.
Held on the 7 May from 9am to 12pm, the expo will feature health and nutrition seminars, sound bowl healing, yoga, breath workshops, massage sessions and an array of stalls.
Ironbark’s co-owner, Jo Higgins said the expo will raise important funds for charity and support local women.
“We are raising funds for the Secret Sisterhood Charity which is a collective group of women’s charities that have all come together to fight for gender equality around the world,” she said.
“We’re hoping to turn this into an annual event where women come and get collective support when it comes to their health and fitness.”
“We also want to support and showcase other small businesses run by women.”
Ms Higgins said the expo will be a one stop shop “where women can get facts and truth from some of the industry’s most qualified and reputable professionals.”
“We will have guest presentations from Tammy the Naturopath who specialises in women’s hormones and Jess the Osteopath who will talk about women’s skeletal issues especially post childbirth and as we age,” she said.
“We will also have sound bowl healing and a Yoga class, as well as breath workshops and tapping for mental health.”
“There will also be three separate massage ladies offering short massage sessions, loads of stalls from candles, crystals, plants, spice rubs, natural oil products, nutrition, reiki, wellness coaching and heaps more.”
Ms Higgins said there will also be coffee and food available on the day.
“It’s a great opportunity for women to meet other likeminded women and businesses and start supporting each other instead of competing against each other,” she said.
Ironbark’s health expo will be held on the 7 May from 9am to 12pm. The cost is $25 a ticket, which includes all seminars.
