Logan was officially approved as a local governmnent area on June 8, 1978.
Here is a light-hearted tribute to our founder:
It was no spear or native axe, that led to Pat’s demise.
Nor a convict knife, let me put you wise
Captain Logan fell in the river (allegedly undressed).
A monster reptile grabbed him and thought it was Christmas (I guess)
The commandant proud, should have yelled loud, for help from his prisoner team
Instead he stayed mute, the croc said “You beaut”
The obvious thing was to … SCREAM!
