Guns, drugs and stolen property found at Logan Village

Three people have been arrested after police found a range of guns, drugs and stolen items at a Logan Village property.

A search warrant at the address on Monday 26 February led Jimboomba police to arrest a man, 40, and two women, 37 and 31, who were there at the time.

With the help of a firearm and explosive detection dog, police found a “fully operational” revolver, a homemade sawn-off shotgun, and ammunition buried under a sheet of building material.

They found gun parts in a duffel bag and first aid kit, which police will allege were “going to be used to manufacture operable firearms”.

Several stolen power-tools, a stolen car trailer, cannabis, methamphetamine and cocaine were also found at the property.

The 40-year-old Logan Village man has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possess utensils. He is expected to appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court on Tuesday 5 March.

The 37-year-old Logan Village woman has been charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils and possessing S4 medicines. She is expected to appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court on Tuesday 26 March.

A 31-year-old Logan Village woman has been charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils and possessing S4 medicines. She is expected to appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court on Tuesday 26 March.

Police say they are investigating futher in “relation to the weapons”.
