Greenbank man charged after Logan pharmacies threatened, police allege

A Greenbank man, 31, was charged with alleged armed robbery after incidents at two Logan pharmacies, police said.

Police allege the man told staff at a pharmacy on Pub Lane in Greenbank that he was armed with a gun and asked them to hand over prescription medication at around 3.50pm on Tuesday, 10 February.

Police said no gun was spotted by staff or members of the public, and the man left the pharmacy without medication or other pharmacy products.

At 4.05pm police allege the man told staff at a pharmacy on Parklands Drive in Boronia Heights the same, that he was armed and asked them to hand over prescription medication.

Police said the man left the pharmacy with prescription medication and was immediately taken into custody by officers who saw him leave the store.

Police said no gun was found and no one was physically injured in either incident.

The man was charged with attempted robbery, armed robbery and drug possession.

He was expected to appear in court yesterday, Wednesday 11 February.
