Glass doors smashed, cigarettes and cash stolen in Logan break-ins

A string of break-ins across Logan saw glass doors smashed with cigarettes and cash stolen.

Police later arrested three suspects in Marsden.

Police allege the crime spree began around 2.20am on Tuesday, 25 February, when three people forced entry into a service station on Beaudesert Road, Acacia Ridge, shattering the front glass doors and taking a significant quantity of cigarettes.

This morning, at 2.15 am, a supermarket on Teviot Road, Greenbank, was allegedly targeted, with cigarettes and cash stolen.

Less than an hour later, at 3.10 am, a silver Ford Falcon was reportedly reversed into the security screen of a tobacconist on Brisbane Street, Jimboomba.

“Two men entered the store while a woman acted as a lookout, stealing cash and tobacco before fleeing in the vehicle,” a police statement said.

“Police later located the Ford Falcon in Marsden, where three suspects were arrested.”

An 18-year-old Marsden man, a 17-year-old Marsden boy, and a 19-year-old Loganlea woman have each been charged with three counts of entering premises.

The 18-year-old man and 17-year-old boy are due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court and Beenleigh Children’s Court today, while the 19-year-old woman is set to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 26 March.
