Eligible Logan residents can access free workplace and foundation-skills training through a new program beginning at Logan Village on Monday 31 August.
Logan Village and Districts Community Centre is running its Pathways to Success program with Strategix Education and Training at 24 Wharf Street, Logan Village.
The program is aimed at people including jobseekers, parents returning to work, young people who have left school and residents wanting to improve reading, writing, digital or communication skills.
Participants can build workplace, financial and life skills and work towards certificates including responsible service of alcohol, responsible service of gambling and first aid.
The centre also advertises Go Card assistance, access to laptops during classes and refreshments.
Applicants must generally be aged at least 15, live in Queensland and no longer be enrolled at school.
Expressions of interest can be submitted through the community centre.
