Saturdaze at Mondaze’s – a monthly car meet designed to encourage men to speak about their mental health – has outgrown their own carpark with hundreds of car enthusiasts showing up every month.
Owner of Mondaze in Flagstone, Jae Martin said Saturdaze at Mondaze was launched to unite the local community and encourage men to openly discuss mental health.
“Over the past year, our monthly Saturday organic car meet has grown to attract between 80 and 100 vehicles, outgrowing the carpark at The Markets Flagstone,” he said.
Due to the increase in numbers, Mr Martin decided to partner with Peet Limited to expand the event, supporting and fostering “candid conversations between families, friends and neighbours.”
Together they hosted Saturdaze Big Night Out, which saw more than 2,000 car enthusiasts head into Flagstone to help raise awareness for men’s mental health.
The event showcased over 150 mixed generation vehicles, from cars and trucks to motorbikes and 4x4s.
Peet Limited CEO and Managing Director, Brendan Gore said Saturdaze at Mondaze is a testament to the growing community spirit shared by all Flagstonians.
“Mondaze is just one example of how local Flagstone businesses, and the community are coming together to support each other and celebrate their shared interests,” he said.
According to Peet, Flagstone is the biggest and most advanced project in the Greater Flagstone region, with more than 6,000 people living in the city.
“Flagstone is one of Southeast Queensland’s largest and fastest growing new residential areas in Australia, attracting more than 20 new families every month,” Mr Gore said.
“Peet’s long-term vision for bringing Flagstone to life is becoming more of a reality every day.”
Saturdaze Big Night Out was also supported by the Flagstone Men’s Shed, a community association that provides practical support to advance the well-being and health of their male members and to encourage social inclusion.
