Final 2024 crime operation launched in Logan

Queensland Police look to increase on their 4,000 charges this year as they launch Operation Whiskey Legion for the third time this year in Logan.

The seven day operation, which runs from 4 to 10 December will be the final deployment for 2024.

Logan police will lead the operation alongside specialist police to disrupt crime hotspots and tackle high risk offences across the city.

Police will focus on road safety, domestic and family violence, property offences and repeat offenders.

They will also look to engage with the community to provide crime prevention advice and promote public safety initiatives.

Acting Chief Superintendent Brendan Smith, Logan District Officer, said the operation builds on the strong foundation of local policing efforts.

“This deployment will target high-priority issues, while conducting highly visible patrols across the district,” he said.

“We encourage the community to interact with our officers at mobile police beats and engagement events, where they can learn more about crime prevention and community safety initiatives.
