Police are searching for a man who allegedly attempted to rob a Logan Central service station on Monday (29 April).
CCTV footage shows a man entering the Wembley Road store and pointing what police have called a weapon at a staff member.
“Initial investigations indicate a man entered a business on Wembley Road around 5.40am and threatened a female staff member with a weapon,” police said.
“After a short verbal exchange, the man fled the business without any cash or property before he got into a black Holden Commodore VE and left the scene.
“The staff member was not injured during the incident.”
Police described the man as Caucasian in appearance, with a solid build and short hair.
“He was wearing a cream jumper, black pants, and a black bandana covering his face,” a police statement said.
The car in the above video was last seen travelling on Wembley Road heading towards Woodridge.
Police said it had a faded or spray painted roof, aftermarket wheels, a chrome front grill and no number plates.
Anyone who recognises the man, or who has any information about the incident, is urged to contact police.
