What a great pity that (Energy Minister) Mr (Mick) de Brenni has not read all the independent data on his ‘ambitious plan’ to harness electricity from hydro in Queensland, based, apparently on the ‘white elephant’ scheme in Snowy Mountains.
The technical miscalculations, the colossal blowout in all costs simply burden the consumers with massive energy bills.
Not a chance in a million that we will ever see the promised ‘discounts’ promised by Labor just weeks ago.
Also the pipe-dream of completing all the infrastructure on time and on budget have all been destroyed by the actual costs of similar dreams in southern states confirm that Queenslanders are in for financial assault on us all if this plan is attempted.
