More than 1kg of methamphetamine and cocaine were allegedly confiscated by police while searching a Kingston property on Tuesday, 2 September.
During the search, detectives from Logan Major and Organised Crime Squad also allege to have found $192,000 in cash, drug utensils, electronic scales, and encrypted communications devices.
A 27-year-old man from Kingston has been charged with nine drug-related offences, police said in a statement. He appeared at Beenleigh Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Wednesday, 3 September.
Detective Inspector Craig Bowman said police searches like this made the community safer and took drugs off the streets.
“Seizing dangerous drugs before they hit the streets, especially in such large quantities, is a step towards a safer Queensland for everyone,” Detective Inspector Bowman said.
“We’re committed to detecting and disrupting serious crime and will continue to proactively target offenders who aim to cause harm.
“We appreciate the support of the local community and the ongoing dedication of our QPS officers to protect our communities and help Queenslanders feel safer.”
