LOCALS Dennis Brown and Darryl Jameson have made the Shitbox Rally an annual event. Operating as “Team Dodgy & Defective” the mates will take their car (valued at less than $1000) from Wollongong to Mackay with over 550 other participants.
The rally aims to raise $2.5 million for the cancer Council.
Team Dodgy & Defective is having a fundraiser at McDonald’s Holmview on March 29, where 10% of sales between 5pm-8pm will be donated to the cause. The pair will also have a raffle, and the car will be on display.
Mr Brown said there would be a few other things to keep people entertained, “to make it a fun night and make it a great event”.
