Local kids aged four months to 16 years will be offered a free swimming and water safety program at two Logan pools.
The Kids Alive Do the Five program, starting this September school holidays, will aim to encourage families to refresh their skills in time for summer.
It was created by swim coach and water safety educator, Laurie Lawrence.
The sessions will be held at the Logan North Aquatic Centre and Beenleigh Aquatic Centre from September 25 to 29.
Lifestyle Committee Chair Cr Tony Hall said that the free program, held in indoor heated pools, is the perfect opportunity for kids to get back in the water ahead of warmer weather.
