QM Properties, the company behind Glelogan Rise in Woodhill sells plots of land to buyers and introduces them to builders.
Estate agent at QM Properties Ian Barry said more than 150 blocks of land in the Glenlogan Rise development had already been sold and only 6 vacant blocks remained.
“There’s a variety of builders, wherever we think the clients are going to get the best value is the builder that we use.”
“Some of the builders are taking 12 months before they can start, so that doesn’t help the clients.
“We search around, we get to the builders that can start in a reasonable time and that charge a reasonable price for our clients, and then we recommend those.”
He said people who build their own home get exactly what they want.
“When they buy an established property, it’s what someone else wanted.
“So they’ve got more choice when they’re building on a block of land.
“It’s an individual choice. If people want to get into something immediately, they will look for established if they’re willing to wait and get what they want, they’ll go for housing.”
