Logan’s creative souls can now apply for a grant program encouraging arts, culture and heritage projects and initiatives.
Up to $10,000 is available through the latest round of the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) for projects starting from January 2025.
Individuals, groups and organisations can apply for the grants, designed all art forms and all career stages.
Mayor Jon Raven said RADF helped local creatives bring their projects to life.
“As the youngest and most diverse city in Queensland, it’s no surprise we have so many talented artists here,” Cr Raven said.
“Logan is gaining a reputation as a regional arts hub, with lots of interesting and unique offerings in studios right in our city.”
RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Logan City Council.
Minister for the Arts Leeanne Enoch said the fund would boost arts and cultural experiences in communities.
“The Miles Government’s increased investment in RADF to $2.42 million will enhance the successful, long-term partnership with local councils, who will also grow their contribution to $2.66 million – a total boost of almost $1 million on last year,” Minister Enoch said.
A grants assist session to help people prepare their applications will be held on September 20 from 5pm to 7pm at the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct.
