Sinkhole found after Beenleigh crash, 3 hospitalised

A sinkhole was reportedly found at a busy Beenleigh intersection following a multi-vehicle crash that hospitalised three people.

Witnesses say a four-wheel-drive T-boned a hatchback at the intersection of City Road and Lae Street.

Multiple ambulances and fire crews arrived on scene at around 4pm and assessed three people.

Two were taken to Logan Hospital in stable conditions, and the third was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition with significant chest injuries.

Now reports have emerged of a sinkhole that emergency crews found at the scene.

Local workers said the intersection was prone to crashes, with accidents occurring there “at least once a week”.

Updates to come.
