Reading the extravagant claims by Mr de Brenni, MP, claiming to “Make Electric Cars cheaper for families” is quite misleading.
The ‘always overlooked’ item praising the electric car’s ‘advantage over current vehicles, always completely overlook the significant development and construction costs – now being borne by us, the taxpayers of Australia.
The costs of disposal of the very expensive parts of each vehicle – paid for by the taxpayer again.
Their utility of electric cars is grossly overlooked for a country such as Australia. Recently Bill Shorten, Labor MP, bragged on TV that the increased cost of fuel at the bowser did not bother him as he arrogantly stated that, “I have an electric car”! Tough for all the millions of working people in Australia.
Oh, and do not forget that the precious materials that are essential for building this ‘magic’ car, comes from China and a small number of mainly third world countries.
When this misguided project comes as a package of economic destruction by the Labor Party, common sense dictates that we look elsewhere, other than Chicken Little, for sensible solutions for our future.
