Cornubia manor hits market

No square metre has been left untouched at this Cornubia manor, says sales agent Nathan Strudwick.

“It’s a beautiful blend between living on acreage and living in your own mini estate,” he said.

29 Carbrook Road is a 1.25-acre block with carefully curated gardens and a manor-style house that’s on the market after ten years.

“I sold it to these owners 10 years ago and I’m selling it again now they’ve decided to relocate,” Mr Strudwick said.

“The house has changed heaps since then.

“They’ve done extensive renovations – new kitchen, new flooring – and landscaping.”

The interior contains five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a dual living quarter with separate entry, kitchen, laundry and bathroom.

“The infrastructure of that property is not seen very often.

“There are multiple driveway entries, side access, sheds, pool, a substantial family home, a substantial granny flat, manicured lawn.

“It’s a property where no square metre has been untouched.”

Outdoors also offers seven parking spaces and a 6m by 12m shed with a workshop and split system air-conditioning.

“You’ll never run out of space to store all the family cars, caravan, boat and camping equipment,” Mr Strudwick said.

He said the property was an “elevated purchase” for the Cornubia area, now that acreage has become so desirable.

It first sold in 1998 for $90,000.

Now the asking price is offers over $1,950,000

“The entry level to purchase acreage at Cornubia is around $1.5 million – you cannot get into Cornubia acreage with just $1 million- so this is definitely an elevated purchase for that area.

“In saying that, we’ve got transactions ranging from $4 to $5 million at the moment.”

He credited this to Logan’s improving reputation and predicted an even larger boom in the coming years.

“Logan has become a much more desirable place to live,” he said.

“People are realising you don’t need to live in the city to work in the city anymore.”

Mr Strudwick said projects like the extension of the South East Busway through to Springwood would change the housing market.

“I think that as soon as they cut the ribbon on that busway, overnight we’ll see a 10 to 15% jump in property prices in the surrounding areas,” he said.

“I always say to people, the best time to buy real estate is now – don’t delay.

“People try and play the game and play the market, but at the end of the day, if you have a long-term position in real estate, you can never go wrong.”
