Coppers’ Christmas at Edens Landing beat

Edens Landing police officers have embraced the Christmas spirit and decorated their beat with bright and colourful lights.

To further celebrate the holiday season, the officers were joined by local families and Santa for a gift drive last Friday, which saw the community donate 77 gifts towards local charity YFS.

“This [will help] make some vulnerable children’s Christmas that little bit more magical this year,” Senior Constable Mitch Collins said.

“The Christmas Lights on the Edens Landing Police Beat have been set up by the local officer in their own time and at their own expense.

“Just another way for this jolly officer to connect and engage with the local community.”

He said the officers were “thrilled to see the large number of excited little faces” who showed to the driver.

Those wanting to check out the lights can visit the Edens Landing Police Beat on any night from 6-10pm until 27 December.
