Construction began last week (Wednesday 29 October) at Logan Reserve’s newest over 50s community, Vantage, by developers AVID Property Group, who also own residential communities in Eagleby, Greenbank, and Park Ridge.
More than 35% of Queensland’s population is aged 50 or older, which is why focusing on housing developments and infrastructure for this demographic is particularly important, AVID said.
Vantage is expected to deliver 376 new homes in Logan Reserve, which AVID said would be “purpose-built for this growing age demographic.”
AVID’s land lease communities general manager in Queensland, Anthony Demiris, said the development was more than just providing homes to the community.
“With over 2,500 residents already calling a Vantage community home, we know these neighbourhoods grow so quickly into hubs of community connectivity and camaraderie for residents sharing in their experiences of a new stage of life,” he said.
This week (Friday 7 November), construction on a similar Vantage over 50s community will begin in Lilywood in Moreton Bay. That project is expected to deliver 296 new properties, AVID said.
“We are proud to be officially underway with our two newest Vantage communities, which will join a portfolio of boutique neighbourhoods offering resort-style living with modern and flexible housing solutions to the growing over-50s buyers’ market in Australia,” Mr Demiris said.
AVID’s housing general manager, Peter Wood, said the company’s completed developments in Hervey Bay had shown promising results.
“We’ve seen an overwhelmingly positive response to our home designs at Vantage Hervey Bay, and we couldn’t be more excited to ensure residents in Vantage’s new communities feel right at home in spaces thoughtfully designed to meet their evolving needs.” Mr Wood said.
