Yarrabilba is known for its many parks and love of the outdoors.
Now, a new initiative from developer Stockland is bringing the community closer together and showcasing the various parks and green spaces Yarrabilba has to offer.
Coffee in the Park is handing out free barista-made coffees, hot chocolates and tea every Saturday from 8.30am-10.30am at parks around Yarrabilba.
Stockland marketing specialist Jessica Lane said resident feedback had been overwhelmingly positive, since the first free coffees were offered on Saturday 1 August, with about 40-60 coffees given out each week over the first four stops.
“A key learning from the first month has been that not all parks in Yarrabilba are suitable for the activation,” Ms Lane said.
Initially aiming to hit 25 parks across 25 weeks, after a review of potential locations some parks have found to have a lack of amenities and are difficult to access.
The coffees are limited to the first 200 people, so get in fast to not only get a coffee but to explore the surrounds.
The next event is on Saturday 12 September at McKinnon Sports Park North, McKinnon Drive, followed by Daybreak Park on 19 September and Greenstone Park on 26 September.
