A woman, 26, has been arrested after allegedly ramming two police vehicles with a car reported stolen from Shailer Park.
At around 11.20pm on Monday 3 November, police responded to calls that a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer, reported stolen from Shailer Park on 27 October, had been seen in a fast-food restaurant car park on Brisbane St.
The woman, who was allegedly driving the Mitsubishi Lancer, attempted to leave the fast food restaurant when officers arrived, according to police.
Police allege the woman reversed into one police car before accelerating into a second police car, before she stopped the car. No police officers were injured in crashes.
The Mitsubishi Lancer was fitted with number plates police allege were stolen from a Black BMW hatchback on 6 October.
The woman, who is from Gailes, was charged with six offenses related to dangerous driving and is expected to face these charges on Tuesday, 4 November at Ipswich Magistrates Court.
Police arrested a second person, a 28-year-old man from East Brisbane, who they allege was a passenger in the Mitsubishi at the time of the offenses.
He is expected to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on 24 November.
