Logan residents hoping to run in next year’s council elections can test their eagerness through compulsory training that is now available.
All candidates across the state’s 77 council areas must complete the free training within six months of nomination – including sitting councillors and mayors.
The training covers obligations around reporting donations, conflicts of interest and expenditure during the campaign, as well as responsibilities and other requirements.
The course is available on the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning website.
