Logan City Historical Museum has big plans for 2021.
In April, the venue will be hosting an exhibit in memory of Uncle Reg Knox.
With the exhibition four months away, curators of the museum are asking the public to contribute their memories, tributes or photos of Uncle Reg in what they say will be their biggest project of the museum’s 30-year history.
“We will need to make some large changes to our displays to make room for this exhibit which will include a mural being painted by students from Mabel Park State High School,” coordinator Mic Noble said.
Students would be painting during the school holidays, and the museum will be preparing an area while it is closed during the Christmas and new year period.
“We would like to find some volunteers who would like to help us prepare for this worthwhile project,” Mr Noble said.
Anyone interested in helping with the project can email unclereglchms@outlook.com.
Most of the city’s libraries will be displaying a tribute to Uncle Reg in March.
