Bahrs Scrubs’ first dog park is underway in the Brookhaven housing community.
The Barkhaven Dog Park is set to open in mid-2025.
It will feature spaces for locals’ furry friends, as well as for families looking to relax and play.
Once complete, the park will include shelters, seating, lighting, scenic multi-use trails (for walking, running and cycling) and a bridge.
It will also offer a play area for toddlers, including a swing set, playground and a sensory music panel.
“This new recreation corridor is more than just a park; it’s a place for families, friends, and pets to enjoy, creating opportunities to connect and build a stronger Brookhaven community,” a Brookhaven statement read.
The developers said they would also commit to ecological restoration to beautify the area and support local biodiversity.
