Anyone who’s lost some gold might be in luck.
Police are looking for the owner of a gold jewellery set, suspected of being stolen.
Two women tried to sell a necklace, two pairs of earrings and a bracelet to a Logan Central pawnbroker on November 8 last year.
The diligent pawnbroker didn’t pay for the items but kept the jewellery.
Police later searched a house in Toowoomba, at Wilsonton Heights in January this year, where they arrested a woman, aged 34, who was found guilty and fined $400 in Toowoomba Magistrates Court.
Problem is, nobody’s claimed the jewellery, which has led to the callout from police.
Police say if it’s yours, you’ll have to provide proof of ownership.
