Following the opening of its new north wing in July, Logan Hyperdome has announced that work has now started to expand Aldi.
Woolworths moved from opposite the foodcourt into the new northern precinct last month (July).
“Hyperdome are thrilled to announce works have commenced to expand Aldi within the Market Room precinct,” a centre statement said.
“These works will see Aldi expand its store footprint through the reconfiguration of an adjacent empty tenancy which will provide space for Aldi to expand into, and a new extension of the tenancy.
“We are committed to the staged ongoing evolution of Hyperdome, responding to the changing needs of our local community, and this new project is an example of our commitment to continual improvement.”
Under the plans, Aldi will have a new external facade, and will have a new landscaped area.
Customer access will improve with upgraded pedestrian crossings between the Market Room and the car park.
Works started mid-August, but Aldi has promised minimal disruption to the store environment.
“While it is still too early to confirm exact timings, we expect to conclude the project by the end of 2020,” the Hyperdome statement said.
“We look forward to sharing new information with you in the coming weeks as this project evolves.”
