A NEW steamy romance novel is set to sweep Logan readers off their feet this May.
Logan may not be the first place you think of when it comes to romance – it’s no Paris let’s be frank – but LGBTIQ+ author Liz Rain’s newest romance novel says otherwise.
Set in Logan City, Perks of Office will be released on May 4. The book is so steamy it was quickly snatched up by German-based company, Ylva Publishing and they’ve already contracted Ms Rain for a second book.
The book centres around Emma who instantly forms a crush for her new boss, Bridget – a straight high-powered politician. A political scandal leads to a fall from grace and Emma suddenly
finds herself the one Bridget turns to for comfort. Was it just a meaningless night of passion or is there something more?
A Logan resident herself, Liz Rain said the reason she set the story in her hometown is because she wanted to put Logan on the map.
“Move over LA, London and Frankfurt,” she said.
For aspiring romance writers, Liz has some words of advice.
“I wrote the first book in 20-minute bursts each night. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you can’t write a book, because you absolutely can.”
Perks of Office will be released as an e-book on May 4 through the Ylva Publishing website, or through Amazon from May 11.
