Groves Kindergarten provides a play-based learning environment for children to explore, engage and connect with peers and the world around them.Â
Our indoor-outdoor program allows the flexibility for children to develop autonomy as they explore hands-on experiences linked to the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
Throughout their time, children will refine their emerging gross and fine motor skills, build strong friendships and connections, and become more resilient as they climb, dig, create, sing, dance, share stories and construct.
Transitioning from Kindy to Prep is a milestone in the Early Learner’s journey at Groves.
At Prep, children engage in collaboration, inquiry and problem-solving across the Foundation goals of the Australian Curriculum to enhance their skills and understanding.
Helping students develop and acquire their literacy and numeracy skills is a major focus in Prep at Groves. Teachers encourage learning by implementing a range of teaching and learning strategies with personalised and age-appropriate expectations to cater to the needs of their students.
Developing positive life values based on the lessons we learn from God’s loving message is a daily undertaking.
We invite you to visit us at our upcoming Open Morning on Saturday, October 9 from 9am–12pm. This is a morning specifically designed for future Kindy and Prep children.
You will have the opportunity of viewing our Kindergarten and Prep classrooms, our play areas and your child can participate in various fun activities. Visit groves.christian.college to register your attendance. Enrolments for 2022 are now open.
