Logan’s own fairy godmother was presented with an Order of Australia Medal for her services to youth and community on Thursday 17 September.
Through her charity Formally Ever After, Beenleigh’s Tammy Robinson has outfitted hundreds of teenagers with a dress or a suit so they could attend their senior formal.
Ms Robinson said the award was for everyone who helped by donating gowns, collecting donations or giving shoes and accessories.
“From a little girl who never felt like enough in this world, to an adult who overcame so much, I truly hope all of what we do at Formally Ever After inspires others to give things a go,” Ms Robinson said.
“We can all make a difference.”
Ms Robinson’s medal was also recognition of her day job working with older people in the community.
The medal was presented by Queensland Governor Jeannette Young at a ceremony at Government House at Paddington.
