Police are searching for the driver of a ute after a Kingston woman died following an alleged hit-run crash at Runcorn.
Queensland Police said the 72-year-old woman was struck by a blue Toyota Hilux travelling east on Beenleigh Road just before 7.30pm on Sunday 28 June.
Police said the vehicle continued driving after the crash.
The Kingston woman suffered critical injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where she later died.
Police said a vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash was found burnt out at Avalon Road, Sheldon, a short time later.
The driver was not found with the vehicle.
The Forensic Crash Unit and Upper Mount Gravatt Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating.
Police are working to identify the driver and have urged the person to come forward.
Investigators are also appealing for anyone who saw the crash, or who has relevant CCTV, dashcam or other footage from Beenleigh Road around the time of the incident, to contact police.
