Growing up in Logan, like many of us, I’ve spent more time sitting on the M1 than I care to remember.
Since I was elected in 2015, one of my top priorities has been upgrading the M1 and extending the south-east busway so our community can get home sooner and safer.
We’ve already come so far.
Construction is well underway on the Sports Drive to Gateway Motorway widening, plus 2.5 kilometres of dedicated cycleway is being created between the Gateway Motorway diverge at Logan Road and Camelot Park.
Now, we’re getting on with the job at Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill, upgrading eight kilometres between the Gateway Motorway and Loganlea Road.
Importantly, this includes the extension of the South East Busway from Eight Mile Plains to Springwood and a new bus station and park ‘n’ ride at Rochedale.
The Palaszczuk Government is driving Queensland’s economic recovery with record roads funding.
For us in Logan, that means a massive $1.75 billion investment to keep the ball rolling all the way through to Loganholme on what is arguably the biggest infrastructure project our community has ever seen.
