Construction works on the intersection of Bumstead Road and Julie Street in Crestmead are about to begin, after eleven crashes were reported over a five-year period.
The Logan City Council project is funded through the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program.
The intersection design includes new traffic lights, signalised pedestrian crossings, and improved street lighting to enhance visibility and safety.
A dedicated right-turn lane will also be added on Bumstead Road for vehicles turning into Julie Street, and raised pedestrian crossings will be installed to support safer walking connections.
