Police charge four Logan teenagers with dangerous driving

Four teenagers are expected to face charges of dangerous driving, stealing and trespassing at Beenleigh Children’s Court later this month.

Police will allege that at around 8.30pm on 30 December, they saw a Mercedes-Benz Utility, reported stolen from Wellington Point two days earlier, travelling on Muchow Road in Waterford West.

Police tracked the Mercedes by POLAIR and used a tyre deflation device at around 9.10pm on the Logan Motorway at Meadowbrook.

The car stopped on Charles St in Beenleigh, where police allege the four boys (a 16-year-old from Logan Reserve, a 13 and a 14-year-old both from Park Ridge and a 15-year-old from Beenleigh) fled on foot before police arrested them a short time later.

Police allege officers who searched the stolen Mercedes found stolen property, a knife, cannabis and drug utensils.
