Eagleby woman arrested along with three others

A 24-year-old woman from Eagleby and two others were charged following an alleged hit and run at a property in Runaway Bay at around 4pm on Saturday, 27 September.

Police allege that a group of three offenders, a 16-year-old Southport boy, an 18-year-old Pimpama boy, and the Eagleby woman, arrived at a Morala Avenue address in a stolen grey Ford Escape and tried to steal a black Mercedes C200.

Police allege a resident of the Morala Avenue address, a 54-year-old woman, tried to stop the 16-year-old boy from driving away in the Mercedes and was hit by the car in the process.

She was taken to hospital in a “life-threatening condition” with injuries to her head, back, arm, and leg.

Police allege the 16-year-old boy stopped the car soon after driving away from the Morala Avenue address to pick up a man and woman. The Ford Escape was abandoned at the scene.

Police monitored the Mercedes to Pimpama, where shortly before 4.30pm they arrested three people who were in the car.

The Eagleby woman was charged with seven offences, related to robbery, trespassing, dangerous driving, and assault. She is expected to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today, Monday, 29 September.

The 18-year-old boy was also charged with the same seven offences and is expected to face Southport Magistrates Court today.

The 16-year-old boy was charged with nine offences of the same nature and is expected to appear before Southport Children’s Court today.
