Flame BBQ Street Festival up for national award

The smell of smoky, slow-cooked barbecue and the sound of sizzling grills and country music have made Jimboomba’s Flame BBQ Street Festival a must-visit for food lovers, and now, it’s gaining national attention.

The festival has been nominated for Best Festival in the inaugural Countrytown Awards, a nationwide competition celebrating the best in country music and events.

Since its debut in 2022, Flame Festival has brought the community together to celebrate all things BBQ, from grilling to roasting and slow cooking.

Last year’s event, which was hosted at the Jimboomba Sports Park, saw country duo Zac and George headline, alongside Stockleigh local Jake Whittaker, who recently made it to the Top 30 of this year’s season of Australian Idol.

Voting for the award closes on Wednesday, 5 March.

Votes can be made at countrytown.com/awards.
