Woodridge man, 57, killed while standing beside car

A 57-year-old Woodridge man has died following a multi-vehicle crash at Yatala on Monday afternoon.

Police said a truck was travelling west along Computer Road at around 2.07pm when it hit a Holden Commodore.

The Commodore was consequently pushed into a parked Ford Courier utility.

The Woodridge man, who was the driver of the Courier, was standing near the driver’s side of the vehicle at the time.

He was also hit.

“He was rendered first aid; however, was later declared deceased at the scene,” a police statement said.

“The truck driver, a 46-year-old Murrarie man, is assisting police with enquires.”

Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
