Police have charged a 19-year-old Yarrabilba man after three people were allegedly stabbed at St George.
A police statement alleged an altercation broke out on Henry Street at around midnight on Saturday morning (13 July).
During the fight a 24-year-old St George man was allegedly stabbed multiple times.
“It will be further alleged, several people went to assist the victim, resulting in an 18-year-old St George man and a 35-year-old St George woman also sustaining stab wounds,” the statement said.
“A short time later police arrived at the scene and took the 19-year-old Yarrabilba man into custody.”
The man was charged with two counts of wounding in a public place while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and one count of act to cause grievous bodily harm.
Two victims were released from hospital with minor injuries, police said, and one victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.
