An allegedly armed man at Logan Central was taken into custody on Wednesday night (10 April) after several hours of negotiating with police.
Police were called to the Garfield Road address at around 3pm in response to “allegations of an armed person”.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said a 36-year-old man was taken into custody at around 7.20pm and taken to Logan Hospital for assessment.
“We’re not concerned of the wider danger to the public here, we’re just exercising caution,” Region Duty Officer Inspector Laurie Shevlin told 9News.
“Investigations into the incident are ongoing, no charges at this time,” the police spokesperson said.
