Easy like Marillana mornings

After two years of easy mornings, relaxing swims and gorgeous sunsets, Shailer Park residents Brianna and Jesse Wolff have decided to pack up and head north.

The mum and dad couple built their home at 27 Marillana Court in 2022.

Ms Wolff said it had been a lovely family home.

“We’ve absolutely loved living here,” she said.

But with a three-year-old son and a baby on the way, Mr and Ms Wolff have decided to move closer to family in Yeppoon.

“It’s a very beautiful home and we’re sad to leave, but we’re excited for a change of lifestyle,” Ms Wolff said.

“We designed the home ourselves.

“My husband is a builder so he knew what the right features would be and what would complement the block.”

The 2940sqm block is tucked away in a Shailer Park pocket shrouded by trees.

The home itself is 300sqm across two levels, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

“The entire top level is the master suite, so it’s very open,” Ms Wolff said.

“We’ve got a really beautiful window that overlooks the trees that really makes you feel like you’re up in the hinterland – and the bath in the ensuite overlooks the bushy setting as well.

“We get so many beautiful birds and wildlife – it’s so nice to wake up to in the morning.”

Ms Wolff said one of the main property highlights was the lighting.

“At seven in the morning you’ve got the light streaming through into the lower level of the home – the kitchen, the living room and the back deck.

“At lunchtime the light hits the backyard, and by dusk during golden hour the light touches the front of the property, where you can sit on the front deck and watch the birds.

“You’re surrounding by so many trees it’s almost overwhelming.”

Ms Wolff said she loved the quintessential “Aussie backyard” feel, with a big deck, a barbeque and a yard for the kids.

“And it’s so private as well – neighbours can’t see the backyard and it’s very tucked away,” she said.

The local community has also proven to be a hit with the Wolff family, whose neighbours repeatedly checked on their house while they were away during the recent storms.

“They keep to themselves but they’re happy to lend a hand,” Ms Wolff said.

As for the perfect next owners, Ms Wolff said the home would suit a young family.

“Maybe one with a couple of kids, because you’re close to the shops, schools, and other families – it’s a great location,” she said.

“Or maybe even someone moving from interstate looking for a lifestyle change.”
