Shailer Park shines

Shailer Park’s 2 Leaf Street has had a “meticulous refurbishment’ according to property agent Darren McCoster.

A sales agent from Ray White Shailer Park, Mr McCoster said the owners were family investors who looked for “solidly built” homes.

The home was built in 1985 and was recently stripped down to the frame internally and rebuilt to form the “perfect” family environment.

“They look at properties that are able to be reborn to suit a modern style,” Mr McCoster said.

“They also love properties that have large areas with plenty of space so families can enjoy the backyards.”

He said the owners “went all out” on the 2 Leaf Street renovation.

“Among other things, there’s plush carpet and the ensuite is the sort of thing you’d see inside a hotel or resort,” he said.

“When people hear the term ‘refurbish’ they usually expect the person’s cut corners, but these guys are the opposite – there’s quality in all they do.

“The new owner of this home will be the first person to spend a night in this house.”

He said its location offered the “best of both worlds”.

“It’s really a fantastic location and it’s surrounded by people who are raising families who are enjoying all the lifestyle that Shailer Park gives you – the lovely bit of amenity, but also freedom and quiet,” he said.

“Come weekends and nights, when you’re actually at home, it is a really quiet location.”

For this reason, Mr McCoster said the property would “suit families looking for enough space for their growing family” and seeking a home that they can spend years creating “magical memories” in.

“And the yard is so large there’s room to add a pool or a large work shed and still have plenty of room,” he said.

Mr McCoster said the sale-price of properties in surrounding streets were a testament to the hot demand for property in Shailer Park.

“This listing comes straight after our dual sales at 40 & 42 Jasmine Crescent Shailer Park which achieved an average price in excess of $1,050,000 – underpinning the quality of the suburb,” he said.

The home is walking distance to Shailer Park primary and high schools, St Matthews Primary, Cornubia Insports, cafes, doctors and is a two-minute drive away from the Logan Hyperdome.

He said the owner wanted the family who purchases the home to “enjoy it for years to come”.

The home is for sale by private negotiation.
