This Saturday 10 June is the first Forde Family Expo, a “fun, relaxed family” event aiming to bring the community together.
The free expo will connect families to their local suport services, business, clubs and recreational activities.
There will be information stalls, entertainment and activities for the kids, and a free sausage sizzle lunch.
Held at the Exhibition Pavilion in the Beenleigh Showgrounds, this event is from 10am to 2pm.
Expo-host, Forde MP Bert van Manen, said he was very excited to host.
“With the rising cost of living, many families are facing difficult times,” Mr van Manen said.
“So, I want all our families to come along and enjoy a completely free day out – it’s going to be an absolutely great day.
“The best part is that every stall will have an activity for the kids, and their will be plenty for the adults too”.
