A 24-year-old Ipswich man and a 34-year-old Brisbane man have been charged after allegedly stealing from a burnt-out car and possessing home-made guns.
On 26 April, Jimboomba police responded to reports of two burnt-out cars in New Beith.
Around 8.10am, they saw two men taking items from one of the cars and putting them into their own.
Police searched their vehicle and found stolen property, drug paraphernalia, multiple home-made guns, and ammunition.
The man from Raceview, Ipswich, was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, failing to dispose of needle, two counts of stealing from a wrecked vehicle, unlawful possession of weapons, manufacture weapon whilst not licensed and authority required to possess explosives.
The man from Inala, Brisbane, was charged with two counts of stealing from a wrecked vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs, failing to dispose of a needle, unlawful possession of weapons, manufacture weapon whilst not licensed and authority required to possess explosives.
They are both due to appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court, June 6.
