Marijuana “grow house” found in Jimboomba

Police have found an alleged “grow house” – a greenhouse system used to simulate the ideal climate for growing marijuana – on a property in Jimboomba.

Police raided the property around midday on Monday (22 May) and discovered the grow house in a large shed.

Inside the grow house police found numerous cannabis plants, approximately one kilogram of cannabis in vacuum sealed bags, equipment used to grow plants and other drug utensils.

A 55-year-old Jimboomba man has been charged in relation to the discovery.

He was charged with producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possess anything used in the commission of a crime and possessing anything for use in the commission of a crime.

He is due to appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court on Tuesday 20 June.
