Woman ‘fires’ gel blaster at passing car

An Eagleby woman has been charged for allegedly firing a gel blaster at a vehicle on the M1 near Stapylton on Tuesday morning.

The 27 year-old woman, travelling in a Landcruiser, allegedly shot a pellet from a gel blaster into another moving vehicle.

After receiving a call, police located the woman in a nearby area with two men also in the vehicle.

The gel blaster was found in the vehicle’s centre console.

The men were later released but the the woman, who shot the gel blaster, is still helping police with the investigation.

Police are yet to locate the second vehicle, but so far, no one is believed to be injured.

Police are urging any witnesses or those with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.

The woman has been charged with one count of dangerous conduct with a weapon, and it set to appear in court on April 4.
