I read with interest the opinion of Whiney Wayne on daylight saying .
As a former outdoor worker in the building industry now covered in numerous skin cancers I agree with him on daylight saving .
In the early days to beat the hottest hours of the suns rays many building workers would start work at 4.30 to 5AM to get home early before the sun reached its hottest .
The trial of two years of daylight saving was a god send to outdoor workers which the government stopped again .
The local Councils sitting in their air conditioned offices in all their wisdom made things even worse for us by not allowing any noise before 6.30AM making sure we worked through the hottest time of the day .
It’s laughable to the extreme that every country in the world practices daylight saving and their cows still come in to be milked and their curtains do not fade and in many cases children play out in the streets till at least 9 PM even in Tasmania .
What’s with Queenslanders they cannot cope with a single hour change?
