Logan police are getting among the community to increase their presence on the ground.
In various parts of the city, they’re hosting Coffee with a Cop program.
And last week, the Logan District Crime Prevention Unit too its mobile beat to Pub Lane in Greenbank.
Police said people braved mid-30 degree temperatures to primarily discuss concerns around hooning, home security and property offences.
Highway patrol officers, the technical crime squad and cross-cultural liaison unit were there to support the onsite unit.
They answered “some tricky questions regarding the hot topic of the day, trail bikes and hooning”.
Local politicians also popped in for a chat and to show support.
