Not happy with Power plan

I for one am not pleased at Darren Power’s announcement of the huge area of solar farm in the Logan area.

I have read extensively on this subject and owned a solar panel system myself for 20 years and can voice only disappointment at him for not investigating further before installing this expensive project subsidised by the ratepayers.

The world at present has many abandoned solar and wind farms as they are too expensive to remove and replace (plenty on Youtube).

And they are 80% non-recyclable and toxic and no one wants to recycle them as there is no money in it for them.

Germany the first country to be fully renewables discovered this and are turning back to coal as is the UK as well.

It’s a pity Air bus Almo did not speak to them on his visit to Europe. He would have learnt something.

And the federal government should speak with professor Ian Philmer, a climate and geologist expert who lectures on the subject in our universities and states that Australia is already below zero due to our small population in a vast country with forests, grasslands and oceans absorbing more carbon than we produce daily and we have no need for renewables.

Funny the government does not want to know this, just rather spend more billions of taxpayers money making China rich by manufacturing them.

Waterford.
